Our in-house Major Projects Team love a challenge. And you don’t get much more challenging than Clapham Junction, Kings Cross, the new Hippodrome soon to be London’s landmark casino and some of the most expensive housing in London, Cornwall Terrace – overlooking Regents Park. We are team players, working with architects, consultants and main contractors and have been known to take on the role of main contractor ourselves when required. So whether your challenge is matching a lift to a heritage site or providing vertical transport within a vast leisure facility call the team.

Cornwall Terrace

We were delighted to be able to contribute to the £multi-million restoration of Cornwall Terrace in Regent’s Park, London with eight stunning bespoke passenger lifts.

This Grade I collection of Nash mansions recently underwent thorough refurbishment, conversion and modernisation by Oakmayne Bespoke, the upmarket arm of leading London property developer, Oakmayne Properties – with the help of the Dartford branch of Stannah Lift Services.

Clapham Station

It’s Europe’s busiest station with more than 180 trains per hour and over 430,000 passengers a day using 17 platforms. No wonder Clapham Junction was a priority for easier accessibility. Stannah’s Major Projects Team, in partnership with main contractor Osborne, have completed the challenging installation of nine passenger lifts, where previously there were none. This is one of hundreds of Stannah lift installations on stations right across the UK.

Derriford Hospital

The Bristol branch of Stannah Lift Services completed the refurbishment of the two 32-person, traction-drive bed lifts in the £39 million Terence Lewis building at Derriford Hospital, a large teaching hospital serving Plymouth and nearby areas in Devon and Cornwall. And of course, the same service branch maintain the lifts in tip-top condition as they are a vital component in the day-to-day workings of the hospital.

Cardiff Station

Our bespoke two-stop, through-door glass passenger lift in a structure supported glass shaft stands in the west side of the magnificent Grade 2 listed ticket hall and is linked to the landing, and exit to the platform, by a seamless steel and glass bridge. This challenging installation within in the Art Deco ticket hall of Cardiff Central Station was completed by us as Principal Contractor on a 4-month project to install a lift for Arriva Trains Wales and Network Rail to ensure easy access to Platform Zero.
