Service Branches

About the South West England and South Wales branch

As part of a nationwide 24/7 service, we manage the safe and efficient operation of lifts, escalators and moving walkways across the South West of England and South Wales. Our comprehensive service covers the main centres of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Swansea, Exeter and Plymouth, and everywhere in between.

Not just lift servicing!

In addition to looking after passenger lifts, goods lifts, platform lifts and stairlifts, our engineers refurbish and modernise current equipment and supply and install bespoke solutions for special projects. In the South West we look after hundreds of lifts from the tip of Cornwall to the far central west of Wales and across to Gloucestershire. This includes most of the Network Rail station lifts in our region. Latest major lift refurbishment projects include both Gwalia Grwp Cyf (Gwalia Housing Association) & the University of Bristol.

Service contracts

We offer a complete maintenance, breakdown and repair service, based around a range of 3 maintenance contracts designed to suit your every need and budget. All our contracts include regular preventative maintenance visits where our engineers will inspect, clean, lubricate and adjust all lift components.

Not just contract customers!

If you do not have a service contract for your lift or stairlift we can still help. Simply call us on 0117 955 9976 and we will do all we can to help.

24/7 help

Our emergency breakdown cover offers peace of mind through the knowledge that Stannah are available 24 hours a day to put your lift, escalator or moving walkway back into service.

The Stannah Promise

Our promise

Our pledge to you is that ‘we are always true to our word’. It simply means our customers can rely on us to meet their needs, 7 days a week and 365 days a year.

Our customers

Every one of our customers is our priority. We look after lifts in hospitals, schools, universities, railway stations, hotels, shops, restaurants, pubs and clubs, ships (yes, our lifts are on the ss Great Britain), museums, offices, cinemas, leisure centres, public buildings and, of course, in many private homes.

Our people

Stannah put staff development high on the priority list and, in return, receive great dedication and loyalty from their employees. In Bristol we are a shining example with husband and wife team Christine and Martyn Channon receiving recognition of their combined 81 years of service from HRH The Prince of Wales during his visit to our head office in 2011. Take a look at our meet the team page to get to know us all.

Apprenticeships

Giving youngsters an opportunity is also a high priority at Stannah so each year the company takes on a number of apprentices in each of out regions. We have 64 engineering apprentices across the whole Stannah service network.

Our community

We support the communities in which our staff live and work by getting involved in local causes and releasing our staff to volunteer. Projects are nominated by our staff so we can help wherever possible.
