The Pantechnicon is a three-storey establishment devoted to stylish yet relaxed wining and dining in the heart of Belgravia in London.  Fellow venue to the nearby Thomas Cubitt, it captures the ambience of a traditional tavern whilst offering the best of contemporary British brasserie fare to patrons accustomed to platinum service:  a high level of personal attention and efficiency unobtrusively delivered with the support of two Stannah Microlifts.

A standard 50kg dumbwaiter and a 25kg-per-cabinet double-decker version optimise the movement of fine food and its trappings between basement kitchen and up to one-hundred diners ranged over the ground-floor bar and the graceful first-floor dining room with its neutral décor, leather armchairs and panelled walls. Both the standard Microlift and the upper section of the double-decker are heated, ensuring that hot food stays this way from kitchen to table.

The double-decker Microlift is the ideal service lift when space is to be conserved as it has the combination and capacity to lift two different loads in one journey.  The upper cabinet features rise-and-fall shutters and loads at chest height, and the lower cabinet features a single steel-hinged door and loads at floor level via a trolley.  In this case, the double-decker’s lower section is used for swift, undercover removal of the gastrobar’s flotsam and jetsam.  Running parallel to each other in separate structure-supported shafts, the two Microlifts support a combined payload of 100kg.
