BS EN ISO 14001 is the most widely recognised environmental standard certifying that a company operates an effective environmental management system. It applies to those environmental aspects over which the company has control and over which it can be expected to have an influence.

By achieving certification, Stannah Lifts Ltd have demonstrated that they fully understand their environmental responsibilities. Each element of their operation is measured for environmental impact and measures are put in place to reduce that impact, wherever possible. The continual development of products, services and internal systems are considered within the standard’s guidelines ensuring their environmental impact is minimised.

The addition of ISO 14001 to Stannah Lifts’ follows on from Stannah becoming the first independent UK lift manufacturer to achieve ISO 9001 certification for its quality management system.
