Lift Service & Maintenance

Local Authority Contracts
We have multiple Local Authority maintenance contracts across the UK, each one managed locally by one of 11 service branches covering the whole of the UK. Each contract is negotiated through a competitive tendering process and contracts won confirm that Stannah’s exacting standards have met with client approval. We are proud of our long association with major authorities and continue to develop bespoke services to suit their needs.
What our customers say…
LONDON BOROUGH OF REDBRIDGE
The London and South East Branch of Stannah at Crayford won the tender to provide lift services for the London Borough of Redbridge. The initial contract commenced on 1 July 1988 and has been renewed each year, which is an indication of the Council’s satisfaction with the service provided.
Stannah look after over 200 lifts across the Borough in almost as many locations. Products include through-the-floor lifts, step lifts, wheelchair platform lifts and stairlifts from a range of manufacturers. A service to remove and re-site Stannah stairlifts is included in the contract.
The contract is ‘basic’ providing regular service and preventative maintenance at specific intervals. The engineer provides a report on the condition of the lift following each visit. An agreed 4-hour guaranteed response time to anywhere in the county is also an integral part of the contract.
Since beginning the agreement, Stannah has introduced mobile communication systems. This means engineers can usually be located within a few minutes, making response times even better.
We have always been very happy with the service Stannah provide which is reflected in our long ongoing working partnership.
