Ian Carter – Escalators and Moving Walkways Manager
With Stannah in Norwich for more than 12 years, Ian has been instrumental in Stannah’s movement into the escalator and moving walkway market. Ian began his career as an electrical contractor and joined Stannah as a fitter’s mate. Over the next few years Ian moved to become a repair engineer, then on to working on major refurbishments. This was followed by a stint as a very successful sales engineer. Ian is relishing his current role and enjoys the challenge of a new product area for The Stannah Group.
David Saunders – Technical Manager, North
David started Stannah as an apprentice for the Stockport branch in 2000. After he qualified he became a call-out and service engineer. He covered the role of transitional service supervisor for one year. David transferred to the Escalator and Moving Walkway department as the northern technical supervisor in 2008. He has a very varied job role which includes all aspects from the initial order from the client through to project managing the installation and finally testing and commissioning the units. David also provides escalator and moving walkway technical support for the branches throughout the UK.
Kevin Bell – Technical Manager, South
Kevin joined the Norwich service branch as a service and callout lift engineer in 1996. During his time at the branch he worked as a repair engineer, a technician and a commissioning engineer. Kevin transferred to the Escalator and Moving Walkway department as a Technical Supervisor in May 2007.
He has a very varied job role which includes all aspects from the initial order from the client through to project managing the installation and finally the testing and commissioning the units. Kevin provides escalator and moving walkway technical support for the branches throughout the UK.
Kevin also provides training sessions for Stannah engineers on the full range of products supplied by the Escalator and Moving Walkway department.
Kirsty Allin – Office Manager
Kirsty has been with Stannah since April 2003, starting as a temp and being taken on in a permanent role in July. In March 2007 she transferred to the Escalator and Moving Walkways Department as a Technical Administrator. The appointment of a departmental administrator saw her title change again in March 2008 to Administration Supervisor. Her role is wide ranging, dealing with any stores issues through to liaising with customers with any queries that they may have.
Julie Rix – Administration
Assistant
Julie joined the Escalators and Moving Walkways team in March 2008. Her role is varied and ranges from dealing with initial enquiries through to raising quotes for existing units and assisting in the general smooth running of the department and its many projects.
