Who We Are

Our experience of the lift industry is virtually unsurpassed. In the 1860s, Joseph Stannah began making lifts to move ships' cargo, and today our business has expanded to include passenger lifts, goods lifts and, more recently, the supply, installation and maintenance of bespoke large lifts, escalators and moving walkways.

The Stannah Group is a long standing British, family-owned company with fifth generation members of the Stannah family still very much hands-on in running the business.

All our products are manufactured in the UK and quality assured to ISO 9001. We understand the requirements for providing disabled access to public buildings and have a range of Equality Act and Part M compliant solutions. We are able to supply our products and product support quickly and efficiently, with over 320 lift engineers based in eleven branches across the UK, ensuring our customers are supported locally.

Stannah Lifts Limited
We design, manufacture and install a comprehensive range of passenger and platform access lifts. Our fully automatic passenger lifts are perfect for all users in low to medium rise buildings. Our vertical and inclined lifts are installed internally and externally to provide special access for disabled people.

Stannah Microlifts Limited
When it comes to moving anything from hot plates to heavy goods pallets, we provide the solution. The Microlift is Europe’s most popular dumb waiter, for loads from 50 - 100kg. The Trolleylift and Goodsmaster range carry loads from 100 -1500kg. Our heavy duty solutions for loads up to 3000kg complete the range. All our goods lifts help our customers meet the requirements of the Manual Handling Regulations.

Stannah Lift Services Limited
Our nationwide network of service branches provide local maintenance and repair for thousands of lifts, from all manufacturers, all over the UK. Our highly-trained lift and stairlift engineers are available 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. We also undertake lift refurbishments, supply and install bespoke lifts, escalators and moving walkways.
