Stannah in North and North East England
More about our services in the North/North East England
Our comprehensive service covers the main centres of Keswick, Penrith, Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, York, Middlesbrough, Newcastle and Berwick-upon-Tweed, and everywhere in between.
24/7, 365 days a year. Our emergency breakdown cover will put your lift, escalator or moving walkway back into service.
Not just Stannah!
We look after all types of lifts from ALL manufacturers . Our engineers also refurbish and modernise current equipment and supply and install new lift products of all types for special projects.
In the North and North East we look after hundreds of lifts in a region that stretched coast to coast. This includes most of the Network Rail station lifts in our region, where we may carry out refurbishments such as the lifts on Middlesbrough Station. We continue to look after 1200 lift units for North Tyneside Council and make sure customers at Sainsbury's in Darlington have smoothly operating moving walkways. Other customers include York St John University, The Army Foundation College, Cleveland College of Art and Design, Home Group Limited, Places for People, Four Housing, Bernicia Property Group Limited, Cestria Community Housing, The Gateshead Housing Company, Brunswick Shopping Centre and Jomast Developments Ltd.
We offer a complete maintenance, breakdown and repair service, based around a range of 3 maintenance contracts designed to suit your every need and budget. Not just contract customers! If you do not have a service contract for your lift or stairlift we can still help. Simply call us on 0191 460 0010 and we will do all we can to help.
Every one of our customers is our priority. From our stairlift customers right through to our major projects customers we provide responsible, professional and friendly lift services to keep lift stock moving efficiently and safely in our region. We look after lifts in hospitals, schools, universities, railway stations, hotels, shops, restaurants, pubs and clubs, ships (yes, our lifts are on the ss Great Britain), museums, offices, cinemas, leisure centres, public buildings and, of course, in many private homes.
People, apprenticeships, community.
Stannah put people at the top of its agenda. This is reflected in everything we do with our customers, suppliers and our own staff. People development is high on the priority list and, in return, we receive great dedication and loyalty from our employees. In Gateshead our team is full of local knowledge and many of us have lived and worked in the area for many years.
Giving youngsters an opportunity is also a high priority so each year the company takes on a number of apprentices. We have 64 engineering apprentices across the whole Stannah service network.
We support the communities in which our staff live and work by getting involved in local causes and releasing our staff to volunteer. Projects are nominated by our staff so we can help wherever possible.
