Stannah in London and the South East – Dartford

A warm welcome from Branch Manager, Keith Peters. Thank you for visiting our branch pages. As part of a nationwide 24/7 service, we are dedicated to the safe and efficient operation of lifts (including very large goods lifts - up to several tons), escalators and moving walkways right across London and the South East, from our offices in Dartford. Our team are here to answer your calls and our highly-trained engineers are out and about in the region – never far away. Our sister branch in Orpington look after smaller lift equipment and stairlifts.

More about our services in London and the South East region

As part of a nationwide 24/7 service, we manage the safe and efficient operation of passenger/goods lifts, escalators and moving walkways. Our sister branch in Orpington looks after stairlifts, step lifts, homelifts, platform lifts, goods-only service lifts and dumbwaiters. Together our comprehensive service covers London, all its regions and the South East right down to the Sussex coast – and everywhere in between.

24/7, 365 days a year. Our emergency breakdown cover will put your lift, escalator or moving walkway back into service.

Not just Stannah!

We look after all types of lifts from ALL manufacturers. Our engineers also refurbish and modernise current equipment and supply and install new lift, escalator and moving walkway products of all types for special projects.

In Dartford we look after hundreds of lifts. This includes most of the Network Rail station lifts in our region, the whole Docklands Light Railway Network and the Emirates Skyline to and from the O2. Major lift refurbishment projects include the London Hippodrome, Kings Cross Station, Paddington Station and London Bridge. Bespoke lifts for high-end housing are included in our portfolio.

Service contracts

We offer a complete maintenance, breakdown and repair service, based around a range of 3 maintenance contracts designed to suit your every need and budget. Not just contract customers! Simply call us on 01322 287828 and we will do all we can to help.

Our customers

Every one of our customers is our priority. We look after lifts in hospitals, schools, universities, railway stations, hotels, shops, restaurants, pubs and clubs, ships (yes, our lifts are on the ss Great Britain), museums, offices, cinemas, leisure centres, public buildings and, of course, in many private homes. We provide responsible, professional and friendly lift services to keep lift stock moving efficiently and safely in our region.

Our ethos

People, apprenticeships, community

Stannah puts people at the top of its agenda. This is reflected in everything we do with our customers, suppliers and our own staff. People development is high on the priority list and, in return, we receive great dedication and loyalty from our employees. In Dartford our team is full of local knowledge and many of us have lived and worked in the London area for many years.

Giving youngsters an opportunity is also a high priority so each year the company takes on a number of apprentices. We have 64 engineering apprentices across the whole Stannah service network.

We support the communities in which our staff live and work by getting involved in local causes and releasing our staff to volunteer. Projects are nominated by our staff so we can help wherever possible.

Stannah has been endorsed as a ‘Which? Trusted trader’ following an assessment and inspection of its stairlift installation business. The accolade reflects Stannah’s commitment to dependable, first-rate customer service.
