Stannah London & South East service branch - your local lift service provider

The Stannah London and South East service branch is dedicated to the maintenance, repair and refurbishment of stairlifts, wheelchair platform stairlifts, home lifts, dumbwaiters and goods lifts, all from our offices in Orpington.  We're part of an independent British family business that prides itself on providing local services, delivering that personal touch and being 'true to our word'. Together with our sister branch, Dartford, we offer a comprehensive lift service across the London regions, the South East and down to the Sussex coast – plus everywhere in between.

Lift & stair lift servicing and repair - for ALL types from ALL manufacturers

We know how important your domestic lift is. With our stairlift repair service, did you know that as a contract customer you get your very own service engineer? They’ll become a familiar friendly face when your stairlift needs attention. It makes sense. So if you’ve got problems with your stairlift simply use our call out service to help.

Whilst we’re well known for our stairlifts, we’ve over 150 years of lift expertise. We provide a lift repair service for existing lifts such as stairlifts, wheelchair platform stairlifts and dumbwaiters. Keeping each one in perfect condition and helping to prevent breakdowns and call-outs. Whilst our sister branch in Dartford does the same for passenger/goods lifts, escalators and moving walkways.

Whatever make or model, we pride ourselves on thorough service visits as part of an annual service plan. Simply put our service contract helps to prevent costly repair bills.

Stairlift service contracts and lift maintenance contracts

We offer a range of maintenance contracts, designed to suit every need and budget, along with custom service contracts. Plus with our emergency breakdown and call-out cover we will put your stairlift, homelift, platform lift, step lift or service lift back into service as quickly as possible.

We’re able to provide both homeowner service contracts and through housing providers and local authorities. Just some of our domestic customers include Affinity Sutton, Chelmer Housing, Interserve, Essex Cares, Enfield Social Services, Epping, Greenfields, Greenwich, Hammersmith and Fulham Homes, Hounslow Homes, Kensington and Chelsea, Lakehouse, Mole Valley Housing, Notting Hill Housing, Places for People, Runnymede and Russet Homes. Some of our commercial lift service contracts include Carluccio's, Bodeans, Firmdale Hotels, Chimichanga, Tinsletown, Aubaine, Restaurants and Cubitt House Ltd.

But we don’t only help contract customers! If you don’t have a service agreement, that’s not a problem, our experienced lift engineers can still help.

Modernisation and refurbishment

We also get involved in lift refurbishment and lift modernisation, regularly working with clients, consultants, architects and contractors and ensuring we deliver excellent customer service.

We look after thousands of lifts from individual stairlift customers, to local authorities, restaurants operators and retailers - each one relies on our local lift services. With a network of highly-trained local engineers covering London and the South East - we’re experienced in all aspects.

We’re available 24 hours, 365 days a year. Simply call us and we will do all we can to help.

What our customers say

"We have installed Stannah lifts in many of our cafes and we have found them to be very reliable. In our London Bridge cafe it's important that we are able to offer the experience of our basement cocktail bar 'Call Me Mr Lucky' to wheelchair users and others with disabilities that may affect their access."

Design & Development Manager, The Breakfast Club

“An engineer came today and found faults which he was able to remedy. The speed and quality of such after sales service is remarkable and deserves recognition.”

Mr J, Stairlift Customer

"The Service overall is excellent! Engineers are very good and keep us well informed of progress with any breakdowns and they are always courteous and helpful to our residents. The Administration is also excellent, most helpful and effective. Stannah has been a valued contractor over the past 20 years and the current contract is a Partnered Term contract."

Operations Manager, Greenwich Council

“It was cheering to find that our Stannah Microlift, at 40yrs+ is the longest-serving dumb waiter in the UK; and what a tribute to the local Stannah Lift Services branch for delivering such good lift servicing that we have never had to go elsewhere. We’d be lost without her. Who knows? When this grand old lady finally grinds to a halt – hopefully later than sooner – we might ask Stannah for one of her descendants.”

Director of Marketing & Development, St Leonards-Mayfield, Sussex

'I sent to your earlier this week, second class post, a letter with concern about our stair lift having a distinct juddering and asked for someone to call and inspect it. An engineer came today and found faults which he was able to remedy. The speed and quality of such after sales service is remarkable and deserves recognition.'
